Good questions. In my case Pm interested in reaching=(mostly) younger scientists and scholars who are 
genuinely skeptical, mean=ng before their worldview has collapsed into whatever is most expedient fo= their social or 
financial security. 
Science has just begun to tackle the question of consciousness. The esoteri= and mystical traditions have 
been immersed in it for at least 5,000 years= At this point, based on the preponderance of evidence from psi research, = 
am inclined to believe that consciousness is indeed fundamental, in some way. Perhaps it's not a ful= monty idealism, 
but something along those lines. 
In any case, the topic is important because what we think consciousness is =orms the basis of our 
personal sense of self, which in turn shapes civiliz=tion. If our thinking is wrong (as in "we are merely meat machines, 
p=riod"), then there's reason to suspect that civilization may be headed in the wrong direction. And that would not=be 
good for anyone.
