1.4 Economic sectors of focus for this report
This report applies the Climate and Health
Business framework to four heavily affected
economic sectors. Figure 3 depicts the initial
analysis determining the extent to which individual
sectors are affected by climate-health risks and
opportunities for building resilience. Food and
agriculture, the built environment, health and healthcare, and insurance stand out as having
especially high risks and opportunities, presenting
a strong business case for adaptation and resilience
strategies (Figure 4). For each of these four sectors,
this report identifies specific health impacts,
economic impacts and priority interventions
to guide action.
