have seen a marked increase, and this rising demand requires enhanced production per hectare to prevent

Hence, to avert severe climate consequences and biodiversity loss, global agriculture must expand by
2050 without further habitat encroachment. Achieving this involves intensifying production models and
optimizing the use of deforested lands.
