Quantum technology represents a paradigm shift in healthcare, with the potential to redefine its entire value chain. Beyond enabling tailored treatment, quantum can accelerate the pace of drug discovery, safeguard sensitive data in increasingly digital healthcare ecosystems, and create more immersive and effective diagnostic tools. The convergence of quantum computing, sensing and communication will not simply enhance today’s systems; it will open entirely new frontiers in medical science, shaping a future of healthcare that is more predictive, precise and patient-centred than ever before. Quantum solutions for health can be categorized into three domains, each exploiting distinct principles of quantum physics to address specific bottlenecks.Introduction Leading organizations are at an inflection point, propelled by quantum breakthroughs in health. It uses entanglement and superposition to simulate molecular properties and interactions, accelerate structure-based drug design, model complex biological systems and optimize business processes that are computationally intractable. Quantum communication Quantum communications involves the generation and use of quantum states for communication protocols.
