The trio formed in 2013, shortly after Turnipseed's arrival in Southern Oregon. Admission is free. Phoenix Road, Medford. Herzog's original, back-road blues bringsWalker's lyrics and stripped-down bass lines to life, creating a groove as steady as a freight train. The CD was produced by Walker. Generation Jones Father and son duo Jeff Jones and Julian Jones will play a mix of Celtic and old-time music on guitar and fiddle, respectively, along with resonant takes on classic rock from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Paddy Brannan's Irish Pub, 23 S. Second St., Ashland. Jeff Jones, who plays mandolin as well, is a member of bluegrass projects Siskiyou Summit and Foxfire Trio; Julian Jones plays guitar and bass in punk-rock band The Tentacles. The duo has performed together since Julian was 6-years-old. Admission is free. Call 541-488-79733 Jefferson Baroque Orchestra and Chorus The ensemble, directed by Margaret Gries, will present "The Turning of the Year," a program that includes compositions by English composer Brian Collins, songs from Basque folklore and arrangements of German Christmas carols and English ballads, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Newman United Methodist Church, 132 N.E. B St., Grants Pass, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at First United Methodist Church, 175 N. Main St., Ashland. Tickets cost $18, $5 for students, and will be available at the door or by calling 541-683-6648. Spaghetti Game Night Spaghetti Game Night has returned to Enoteca Wine Tasting and Bistro. Try your hand at playing board games from Funagain Games in Ashland — Huggermugger, Cranium Kadoo, Fact or Crap — or bring your own to play from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the tasting room, 17 N.
