Crawford, a junior transfer from Livermore, Calif., tossed a shutout in her Raider debut Saturday to lead SOU to a 4-0 nonleague victory over William Jessup. Crawford struck out six with two walks and allowed six hits, all singles, in the complete-game effort. The SOU softball team (2-2) returns to the diamond Friday against Menlo and Simpson. Shellmire, a freshman, placed fourth in both the 60- and 200-meter dashes in the Boise State's Jacksons/New Balance Indoor Invitational on Saturday. Shellmire's time of 6.98 seconds was good enough to make him a provisional qualifier for the NAIA Indoor Championships, and his 200 time of 21.95 made him an automatic qualifier in that event. Shellmire and the Raiders will be at the Husky Classic on Friday and Saturday in Seattle, Wash.
