Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church in Ashland hosted a 5.1 mile-pilgrimage to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford on Saturday, June 11. Mass led by Father Maro of Our Lady of the Mountain followed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. As part of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis and local ordinaries have designated particular sites as Holy Doors “through which anyone who enters will experience the love of God who consoles, pardons and instills hope.” The Holy Door in Southern Oregon is Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford. During the walk, pilgrims engaged in reflective communal prayer. The pilgrimage started in Phoenix at the parking lot of The Shoppes at Exit 24. Participants walked the Bear Creek Greenway to Sacred Heart Church.
