Patton was recommended for this award by the Ashland PEO chapter. Patton will attend the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, in the fall. The PEO Star Scholarship is a $2,500 grant based on excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success. Patton was one of about 400 recipients nationwide chosen from almost 2,000 applicants.
