Tuesday, 1:32 a.m. – Ashland police arrested a woman for driving under the influence at the corner of West Hersey and Water Streets. Tuesday, 4 a.m. – Ashland police transported a woman from Ashland Community Hospital to detox in Medford. Tuesday, 6:38 a.m. – Ashland police lodged a man at the Jackson County Jail for attempted assault on a police officer, harassment, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass II and interfering with a police officer after he was reported to be sleeping on the porch of the Community Center in the first block of Winburn Way. Tuesday, 11:06 a.m. – Ashland police responded to a shoplift call from the Ashland Liquor Store in the first block of Lithia Way. The event occurred Monday at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, 11:24 a.m. – Ashland police took a report of mail theft in the 800 block of Fox Street. Tuesday, 1:12 p.m. – Ashland police took two reports of theft from a motor vehicle in the 900 block of Mountain Meadows Circle.
