Film Screening: The film "Unbranded" will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, in the Music Recital Hall on Southern Oregon University's Ashland campus. In the movie, four young cowboys hatch a plot to adopt, train and ride a string of wild mustangs 3,000 miles from Mexico to Canada through the wild terrain of the American West. Michal Palzewica and Martin Majkut: Cellist Michal Palzewicz and pianist Martin Majkut will present "Dark to Light: An Evocative Journey of Musical Contrast" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at First United Methodist Church, 175 N. The program of classical music will include pieces by Vivaldi, Boccherini, Bach, Hayden, Debussy — contrasting the darkness of the minor keys with the light of the major and journeying from the Renaissance era to the 20th century.
