Ellen G. Austin, 90 years young, of Ashland, Ore., passed away November 3, 2015, with her loving family by her side. J. Ellen, a stone and multi-media sculptor, was a founding member of the Ashland Gallery Association. J. Ellen’s artwork was often satirical and provocative, enticing the viewer to think. She motivated and inspired people from all walks of life, in her travels, and hometown. From Schenectady, N.Y. to Virginia and Connecticut, to the South of France and back to Oregon and the JEGA Gallery, she was known, admired and loved. In lieu of flowers, consider fighting for the ARTS by donating to the JEGA Students Art Fund by contacting the Ashland Gallery Association P.O. Box 241, Ashland, Ore. 97520 (541)488-8430 J.
