Search-and-rescue crews have found the missing Medford snowboarder last seen Sunday on Mt. Ashland. Eli Kepsel, 27, of Medford, was speaking with rescuers en route to receiving medical attention for mild hypothermia just minutes ago, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. No further details were immediately available. Family members reported Kepsel missing Monday morning after he failed to return from a day of solo snowboarding Sunday at the ski area, according to sheriff’s deputies. Ski Patrol members found Kepsel’s car parked at the ski area parking lot Monday, prompting the search, deputies said. Sheriff’s Sgt. Julie Denney said witnesses reported seeing Kepsel at the ski area Sunday afternoon. This morning’s search had focused on mountain areas below the ski area, with search crews looking for regular routes and tracks in snow to follow, deputies said. It was not immediately known where Kepsel was located.
