The Rogue Valley didn't get anywhere close to the 1.28 inches that fell from noon Saturday to noon Sunday in Coos Bay, but the amount of rainfall did get close to half an inch in some spots. "It looks like we're pretty on track with the forecast," said meteorologist Brad Schaaf. "We are expecting some showers to continue through the area, so we could actually see a little bit more today into tomorrow." Ashland saw more than four-tenths of an inch during that same 24-hour period, with close to half an inch reported in the Illinois Valley, and about four-tenths of an inch in Grants Pass. Medford came in last with just under three-tenths of an inch. Higher up, the word was snow. Lake of the Woods notched five inches over 24 hours by noon Sunday, while Big Red Mountain near the Siskiyou Summit got six. Mt. Ashland also received six inches, as did Annie Springs at Crater Lake. Road cameras from the Oregon Department of Transportation showed snow that had stuck on the Dead Indian Memorial Road summit and on Highway 140 at Lake of the Woods. Spots of ice were reported on the Siskiyou Summit, with reports of packed snow on stretches of the Greensprings Highway. Despite the downpour, Schaaf said the Weather Service had not received any reports of flooding by Sunday afternoon. Weather officials said the Rogue Valley is in for more of the same Monday. Snow levels are expected to drop to as low as 2,000 feet Monday morning, but will rise to about 5,000 feet by the afternoon and up to 7,000 feet by Monday night. —Reach reporter Ryan Pfeil at 541-776-4468 or [email protected] .
