Dow Jr. passed away May 28, 2016 in Medford, Ore. He was born to David and Retha Dow Sr. March 1, 1930 in Bard, Calif. He came to the Rogue Valley in the 1930s. He lived nearly eighty years on his family's land, leaving briefly to survey in Alaska and to serve in the Army Signal Corps. David worked as a Senior Engineering Technician for the Medford Water Commission and later, Jackson County. His interests included farming, fishing, hunting, electronics, radio-controlled model airplanes, and traveling with his wife, Jean in their Winnebago. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 60 years, Jean Pappas Dow; their sons, David III and John (Gailene); five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his sister, Ruth Wright; and his brother, Jay Dow. Jean and David's beloved daughter, Carol Ann passed away in early childhood. A burial service will be held at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford. His family misses him and will always remember him.
