EQUAMORE Mural of rescued horses to be unveiled in Talent Comment By Local report DailyTidings.com By Local report Posted Jul. 26, 2015 at 1:32 PM By Local report Posted Jul. 26, 2015 at 1:32 PM » Social News A new mural, “The Horses of the Equamore Foundation,” by mosaicist Karen Rycheck, will be unveiled on the side of Grotto's Pizza building at 5 p.m. Friday, July 31, at 302 W. Main St., Talent. Sage Meadows will perform original bluegrass/country music for the unveiling. Rycheck creates fine-art mosaics, ceramics and public and private commissions from her studio in Talent under the name missmosaic. “The Horses of Equamore” mosaic is 28 feet long and 2.5 feet high and is composed entirely of handmade ceramic tile created by the artist, Rycheck said in a news release. The project was funded by a grant from the Haines Foundation of Ashland and other contributors. The mosaic includes portraits of rescued horses from Equamore as well as myriad wildlife native to the Rogue Valley region. For more information, contact Karen Rycheck at 541-621-6239.
