Learn about proposed 55-mile scenic bikeway outside Ashland Comment DailyTidings.com Writer Posted Apr. 4, 2015 at 10:32 AM Posted Apr. 4, 2015 at 10:32 AM » Social News ASHLAND — Oregon Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a public meeting on a proposed 55-mile bikeway outside Ashland from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at the City Council Chambers, 1175 E. Main St. The proposed Cascade/Siskiyou State Scenic Bikeway would begin at Garfield Park in Ashland, travel east along Highway 66 to the Greensprings Summit, continue north along Hyatt Lake Road past Hyatt and Howard Prairie lakes, then descend west down Dead Indian Memorial Road back to Garfield Park. There are currently 12 such designated bikeways in Oregon. This would be the first in Southern Oregon. To see a map of the route, visit  http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2262835 . Public comments will be taken during the meeting. Written comments will be accepted before and after the meeting.
