Fire torches garage Apr 10, 2016 12:00 AM A A CENTRAL POINT — An elderly man was among the occupants firefighters from two agencies evacuated from a house fire at 876 Mendolia Way Sunday afternoon. Jackson County Fire District No. 3 and Medford Fire-Rescue responded to a 2:22 p.m. call. Fire District No. 3 Battalion Chief Jeff Bancroft said the primary damage was in the attached garage and the attic. Two automobiles and a motorcycle were among items destroyed by the fire. "Most of it was smoke and water damage to a couple of walls," Bancroft said. "I'm pretty sure they'll have to rebuild the garage."
