Brown, secretary of the Jackson County Fair from Gold Hill, that a large delegation will be down in autos and on the train, and will bring their band on Saturday, Sept. 11, which has been designated as Gold Hill, Rogue River and Central Point day at the fair. A big delegation will also be down from Central Point. The schools of the county will be closed Friday, and all school children will be admitted free. Society Notes: A fair-sized audience gave unusual attention to a splendid program under the auspices of the Parent-Teachers' circles in the high school auditorium Friday afternoon. Mrs. D. Perozzi of Ashland gave a most comprehensive and inspiring report of the national convention of the congress of mothers, which met in Portland in June. The mothers who heard this report were indeed fortunate. Mrs. Perozzi also suggested active plans for the meeting of the district convention of Women's Clubs to be held in Medford, September 23.  Following this address, Miss Theiss sang two numbers beautifully.
