The Ducks, who also host Virginia (Sept. 10) and reacquaint themselves with Mike Riley at Nebraska (Sept. 17), also had their Pac-12 schedule unveiled by the conference on Tuesday night. Oregon opens conference play on Sept. 25 against Colorado at Autzen Stadium. The October slate includes home games against Washington (Oct. 8) and Arizona State (Oct. 29) and road games at Washington State (Oct. 1) and California (Friday, Oct. 21). If he wins the starting job, Prukop, the Montana State quarterback who announced Tuesday he is transferring to Oregon, will have to play well to have a November as memorable as Vernon Adams Jr.’s with the Ducks. Oregon has road games against USC (Nov. 5), Utah (Nov. 19) and Oregon State (Nov. 26) and a home game against Stanford (Nov. 12). A nonconference game with Power 5 Conference member Minnesota, a regional matchup with rival Boise State and the 120th playing of the Civil War in Corvallis highlight the 2016 Oregon State football schedule. The team will open the season with second-year head coach Gary Andersen taking the Beavers to Minneapolis to play the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Thursday, Sept. 1. Minnesota is scheduled to complete the current two-game series in September of 2017 with a visit to Reser Stadium. Oregon State’s next two games will be at home, hosting the Idaho State Bengals Sept. 17 and the Boise State Broncos Sept. 24. The Beavers and ISU will meet for only the second time — an OSU 61-10 victory in 2007. The Beavers and BSU will meet for the ninth time, OSU has a 5-3 advantage overall. OSU travels to Boulder to play the Colorado Buffaloes Saturday, Oct. 1 to open Pac-12 Conference action. The remaining road schedule includes games at Washington Oct. 22, Stanford Nov. 5, and UCLA Nov. 12. Oregon State is the last team to have a conference home game, hosting the California Golden Bears, Saturday, Oct. 8. The home league schedule also includes dates with Utah Oct. 15, Washington State Oct. 29 (Homecoming), Arizona Nov. 19 and the regular season finale vs. Oregon.
