There are cleaning stations everywhere except there. What gives? — M.M., Medford We here at Since You Asked Central posed this little question to Jackson County Parks Manager Steve Lambert, who got right to the point. "We just never put one in," Lambert says. "We've been so busy on other projects, we haven't gotten around to it. I wish I had a better answer for you." Then Lambert actually had an even better answer: There's been virtually no one but you, M-squared, who has asked for one, and there haven't been a bunch of fish guts strewn about the boat ramps or picnic tables to show there is an apparent need for one. Same with Emigrant Lake County Park, which also doesn't have a fish-cleaning station, Lambert says. Fish-cleaning stations can cost anywhere from a few thousand dollars to over $20,000.
