A Medford police officer Wednesday arrested Verduzco on charges of identity theft, providing a false application for license and being an illegal alien. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail. Failure to report — Justyn Dale Nicks, 18, of the 3800 block of View Crest Drive, Medford. An Eagle Point police officer Wednesday arrested Nicks on charges of failure to report as a sex offender. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $5,000 bail. Sex abuse — Marvin Lee Roberts, 46, of the 3800 block of North River Road, Gold Hill. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Wednesday arrested Roberts on two counts of first- degree sexual abuse, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy and third-degree sodomy. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $3,015,000 bail. Identity theft, theft — Michelle Renee Aguilar, 27, of the 100 block of North Shasta Avenue, Eagle Point. A Medford police officer Wednesday arrested Aguilar on charges of identity theft, first-degree theft and possession of a forged instrument. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Wednesday on $15,000 bail. Sex abuse — Paul Mendez, 48, no known address. An Oregon State Police trooper Wednesday arrested Mendez on charges of first-degree sex abuse, first-degree sodomy and first-degree attempted sodomy. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $3 million bail. Drugs — Scott Douglas Slates, 46, of the 1300 block of Morrow Road, Medford. Slates appeared Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Advertisement Crime reports Theft — 500 block of Hudspeth Lane, Shady Cove. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Wednesday took a report of a theft in which a 1984 Ford Bronco, Oregon license plate WKV 402, was stolen. Burglary, theft — 6800 block of Adams Road, Talent. A sheriff’s deputy Wednesday took a report of a residential burglary in which a four-wheeled ATV valued at $5,000 was stolen. Theft — 6400 block of Ponderosa Street, Central Point. A sheriff’s deputy Wednesday took a report of a theft in which a dark purple 1994 Honda Accord, Oregon license plate ZNL 200, was stolen. Miscellaneous Body discovered — A man whose body was found Monday in a parking lot behind a business in the 800 block of Biddle Road died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Medford police said. Officers went to the location at about 10 a.m. Monday, according to a police report.
