A warrant has been issued for James Ray Pate, 32, who has lived in Rogue River for the past few months, Gold Hill police chief Dean Muchow said. "We received two dozen calls since the security camera pictures were printed in local media," he said. "One man told us Pate stole the shirt he was wearing during the robbery from him." Pate was also known to wear an Army-green ball cap similar to the one in the pictures, Muchow added. Motorists driving on Interstate 5 recognized Pate's car heading north between Rogue River and Grants Pass at around 6 p.m. The car was described as a light-blue, four-door 1994 Honda Accord. "He's had 12 hours to run, so he could be anywhere now," Muchow said. Anyone with information regarding Pate's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Jackson County sheriff's detectives at 774-6800.
