A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Smart on a charge of first-degree mistreatment. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained Tuesday night on $5,000 bail. Assault — Joseph Wayne Powell Jr., 39, of the 400 block of Arnos Road, Talent. Powell made his initial appearance Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on two counts of fourth- degree assault, strangulation and harassment. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Dustin Wayne Christlieb, 20, of the 400 block of Boardman Street, Medford. Christlieb made his initial appearance Tuesday in Circuit Court on charges of delivery of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, delivery of marijuana, manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana and endangering a minor. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Nelda Sue Scott, 37, of the 2700 block of Falcon Street, White City. Scott made her initial appearance Tuesday in Circuit Court on two counts of possession of amphetamines. She was lodged in jail, where she remained Tuesday night on $10,000 bail. Theft — Eric Gordon Muth, 18, of the 1100 block of Santa Terria Road, Merlin. Muth made his initial appearance Tuesday in Circuit Court on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Michael John Roe, 23, of the 2900 block of Anderson Creek Road, Talent. Roe made his initial appearance Tuesday in Circuit Court on a charge of possession of marijuana. He was booked into jail then released. Advertisement Drugs — Luke James Walker, 20, of the 100 block of North Pacific Highway, Talent. Walker made his initial appearance Tuesday in Circuit Court on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail then released. Assault — Levi Dean Zirkle, 20, of the 500 block of Rene Circle, Central Point. Zirkle made his initial appearance Tuesday in Circuit Court on charges of third-degree assault and fourth-degree assault. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Kevin Andrew Gumm, 35, of the 1000 block of Coachman Avenue, Central Point. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Gumm on charges of manufacturing amphetamines, delivering amphetamines and possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Tuesday night on $25,000 bail. Drugs — Kelly Jean Taylor, 20, of the 1100 block of Niantic Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Taylor on charges of possession of hallucinogens, supplying contraband and an out-of-county warrant charging her with failure to appear in court. She was lodged in jail, where she remained Tuesday night on $20,000 bail. Drugs — Brittany Kaylon Cook, 18, no known address. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Cook on charges of possession of amphetamines and three warrants charging her with failure to appear in court. She was lodged in jail without bail. Criminal mischief — William St. Maurice Orlow, 45, no known address. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Tuesday arrested Orlow on charges of first-degree criminal mischief, menacing and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Tuesday night on $12,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 1200 block of Avenue C, White City. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Tuesday took a report of a theft in which a flatbed trailer valued at $1,200 was stolen. Theft — 5200 block of Rogue River Highway. A sheriff’s deputy Tuesday took a report of a theft in which a wooden drift boat and a 10-horsepower Mercury-brand motor valued at $3,000 was stolen.
