Julian sweeps Sizzlers series Robert Julian of Ashland completed a sweep of the four-run Southern Oregon Sizzlers Summer Cross Country Series Tuesday. Julian finished the 5K Bear Creek Park course in 17 minutes, 28 seconds. Justin Loftus edged Nathan May for runner-up by 1 second with a time of 17:35. Leah Sawyer of Medford won the women�s race with an impressive mark of 20:49. Ashley Gutches, 15, of Central Point finished fourth in the women�s race and was an overall series age-group winner for the ninth time in the 10-year history of the event.
