Donor helps Mt. Ashland buy new ski boots Oct 31, 2014 12:00 AM A A Mt. Ashland Ski Area was able to purchase 200 pairs of new children's ski boots for the upcoming ski season, thanks to a donation. The boots will replace the old, worn boots in the snow park's fleet, officials said. "Let's just say that the old boots have helped us teach a lot of kids how to ski," said Linda Parazoo, Mt. Ashland's snow sports director. Park officials purchased the boots from the Dalbello Ski Boot Co. at a deep discount, with the difference made up by John Murphy of Murphy Co., the Eugene-based wood products with mills in Rogue River, White City and Sutherlin.
