His son has pleaded not guilty to assault charges in the same incident. A suspect in what police say was a racially motivated riot last month, 44-year-old Daniel Lee Hutchinson is at large. Officers have obtained a warrant for Hutchinson, who is believed to be in the White City area, said Capt. Joe Puckett, of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. Hutchinson’s son, 21-year-old Daniel Lee Hutchinson Jr., pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court to a charge of second-degree assault. If convicted, he faces a minimum prison sentence of five years and 10 months. Deputies arrested Hutchinson Jr. following a riot-like fight Oct. 25 in a White City trailer park. About 15 bat-wielding young people went to the trailer park on Antelope Road around 9 p.m., but dispersed when someone called police. About an hour later, the group returned with reinforcements, pummeling five people and breaking glass in a car and home with baseball bats, police said. The victims all are Hispanic, detectives said. Several of the suspected attackers sport shaved heads and "white power" and swastika tattoos, detectives added.
