John (Jack) Dillon Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Nov. 15, 2014 at 2:00 AM Posted Nov. 15, 2014 at 2:00 AM » Social News Jack Dillon, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his home in Medford, Ore. He was surrounded by loved ones at the time, and is remembered by countless family and friends for his generous nature, his great sense of humor, his garage sale prowess, his love of drag racing, and his lifelong commitment to the love and care of his family and friends. Jack was born May 31, 1942 in Cucamonga, Calif. He was married to Judy Dillon for over 50 years and they lived in Southern Oregon since 1990. Jack drove a truck for E.L. Yeager Construction Company for over 25 years before retiring in 1992. Entrepreneurs by nature, Jack and Judy also spent many years buying and selling goods at garage sales and swap meets. Jack is survived by wife, Judy; sons, Joe, Jon, and Jeff (Shelley); four grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Part of a large family, Jack will be dearly missed by brothers, Doyle, Billy, and Jimmy, as well as sisters, Rose Marie, Diane, Diana, and Trish. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl Dillon; brothers, Jerry and Larry; and his sister, Loretta Dillon. A funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2014 at Hillcrest Mortuary, 2201 North Phoenix Road, Medford, Ore. A viewing and recitation of the Rosary will take place Sunday, November 16, 2014 between the hours of 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. To share memories of Jack, or to offer condolences to the family, please visit the Hillcrest website at http://www.hillcrestmortuary.com.
