Freshmen pace South Medford girls in win Saturday Jan 27, 2018 at 12:01 AM EUGENE — South Medford’s girls swim team got two individual wins each from a pair of freshmen and defeated Willamette, 84-81, in Southwest Conference action Friday. The Panther boys lost, 82-72. For the girls, South Medford’s Reilly Eiynck won the 50-yard freestyle in 27.69 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:10.92. Teammate Karissa Cooper claimed the 100 butterfly in 1:25.37 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:17.69. They were on the winning 200 medley relay (2:16.89) and 200 free relay (2:00.66) with Skylar Eiynck and Juliet Logue. Another Panther freshman, Aubrey Millar, took the 100 free in 1:08.80. For the South boys, Trent Snyder won the 50 free in 25.59 and Chase Costanti the 100 back in 1:11.61. They were on the victorious 200 free relay in 1:51.94 with Grayson Weaver and Jaymes Kodak.
