Fodal, 92, of Ft. Myers, Fla. passed away peacefully in her sleep, July 28, 2014 at the Page Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio May 31, 1922. She enjoyed playing softball, basketball, and cycling growing up. After graduation, Ruth worked in the accounting field until retirement. In her 70s, she took up tennis and cherished new friendships. Hobbies included sewing, reading, drawing, and coaching her childrens' sport teams. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Valerie Wright of Medford, Ore.; two daughters-in-law, two nieces, 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Wilferd and Alice Rathfelder; two brothers, Marvin W. and Ronald R. Rathfelder; sister, Ada Smith; husband, Donald J. Fodal; and two sons, Gilbert M. Impson and Richard R. Impson. At Ruth's request, she was cremated. The Neptune Society performed the cremation at the Lee Memorial Park Crematory. Peace be with you. You are missed.
