Combining chiropractic care with massage, nutrition and exercise guidance, Thorsen helps patients make corrective changes for long-lasting relief and better health. "I believe it is vitally important for patients to feel empowered to help themselves," Thorsen says. "My experience has been most people are not pro-active enough when it comes to their health. I try to teach them about their body and improve their awareness of their lifestyle. I make every effort to give patients the tools they need to improve their own health." Thorsen grew up in Grants Pass, where he practices today at his office at 1328 NW 6th Street. He returned to Southern Oregon after gaining a bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science from Oregon State University and his chiropractic degree at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland. He is also a certified practitioner of fascial manipulation. Thorsen specializes in sports injury rehabilitation in addition to general chiropractic care, nutritional counseling and wellness care. In his career, Thorsen has worked with Oregon Ballet Theater performers, high school athletic teams and collegiate athletes to help individuals recover from injuries and to maximize their physical readiness for performance.
