Kenny McComb, who cuts steaks at Texas Roadhouse, will participate at the A1 National Meat Cutting Challenge in Boise, Idaho, according to a news release. The competition starts at 1 p.m. at Grasmick Produce. Contestants will participate in timed "cut-offs" where they receive 50 pounds of meat to cut. Entrants are judged on quality, yield and speed, with the winner determined by who cuts the most high-quality steaks in the least amount of time. Entrants from Idaho, Utah, and Montana will join McComb. The winner will advance to the 2015 national competition in Florida, where they will compete for a $20,000 grand prize and the title of "Meat Cutter of the Year."
