Cam leads Eagles to tourney triumph Prep wrestling EAGLE POINT -- Blake Cam showed why he's the No. 1-ranked heavyweight wrestler in the state Saturday at the Eagle Point Invitational. Cam pinned all three of his opponents -- two of them in less than one minute -- on the way to the heavyweight title. Justin Winner (103), B.J. McFall (135), Chet McBee (145), Jamie Mannenbach (171) and Issac Johnson (189) also won individual titles for the Eagles. Mannenbach pinned Del Norte's Doug Mattz and Elmira's Jeff Burnett before registering a dominant 12-3 victory over South Medford's Mike Murphy in the 171-pound finals. CRATER SECOND AT TOURNEY -- At Hillsboro, Crater had three wrestlers take first en route to a second-place finish at the Hillsboro Tournament. Shane Webster was named the tournament's outstanding wrestler after his title at 160 pounds. Teammates Anders Vetch (215) and Austin Etchison (275) also took first in their weight divisions. Justin Godley took second at 145 while Tanner Hillyer (171) and Scott Toney (189) finished third. Jayson Stratton earned fourth at 140 for the Comets. Crater finished with 202 team points, just behind Newberg's 204.
