Roseburg has had two breaks of bad luck and they are going to take it out on the local team and prevent Medford from winning the championship, if they can do so. Already the largest advance sale of tickets for the game has been recorded and the crowd promises to be the largest and most loyal ever gathered to cheer the home team to victory. Medford has an even break with Roseburg and can win if the boys play twice as good as they have ever played before, for every one of the local men will be out weighed twenty pounds to the man, remarked a fan. The defeat suffered by Roseburg at Ashland's hands must be taken with a grain of salt. Three things favored Ashland. A small, cramped floor which prevented the open running game at which Roseburg is so proficient. Second, the Roseburg boys had been traveling for the past ten days with no chance of rest and playing the fastest teams in the north. Third, Ashland, if ever a team was lucky, must draw the prize, for they outplayed themselves, getting all the breaks and shooting baskets that for weirdness can never be beaten. They threw blindly and got them, scoring nine points in less than four minutes of play at the close of the game. LOCAL AND PERSONAL The Medford lodge of the Royal Order of Moose will treat its members and invited friends to a royal supper in its hall Tuesday evening and will leave no detail unattended that will insure a most enjoyable evening. Dancing will follow the supper—and it will be a great dance, such as the Moose herd always gives. Excellent music has been engaged and it will be an evening of enjoyment and social converse. Moose hall is in the Barneburg building, next to the Medford National bank.
