Breanna Allene White, 23, already was being held in the Josephine County Jail last month when, police allege, she solicited a fellow inmate to help her in the scheme, according to a police affidavit filed in Josephine County Circuit Court. At the time, White was being held in an Aug. 15 rollover on Gunnell Road west of Grants Pass that killed 15-year-old Aryen Chambers and seriously injured White and three teenagers in the car with her. White was driving drunk, according to police. No charges have been filed against the other inmate mentioned in the affidavit. That inmate has been released from jail. White also made plans to have a letter delivered to two people who were to be solicited to help in the burglary, according to the police affidavit. White is charged with conspiracy and solicitation to commit first-degree burglary. The affidavit did not state how the scheme was discovered. A message left for Grants Pass police Detective Sgt. Dan Evans was not returned by the deadline for this report. White's bail is set at $780,000, in connection with the manslaughter charge. Typically, inmates must post 10 percent of bail amounts, or $78,000 in this case, to be released. White has been incarcerated for seven months, since Oct. 1. White's troubled past includes an Aug. 7 incident in which she is charged with being drunk and at the wheel of a car that left the road and struck a fence on Leonard Road, propelling fence rails into the car and injuring three passengers. She's awaiting trial on charges connected to that incident. She also was involved in an October 2014 incident in which a 16-year-old boy in a vehicle driven by White was struck in the head and nearly killed by a flying baseball bat being used by another passenger in the vehicle to bash mailboxes. She was also convicted of disorderly conduct for participating in a brawl during a downtown First Friday event in September 2014 in which a man was cornered and pummeled by a group of people outside the Dutch Bros.
