Northbound shoulder remains closed as crews mop up the fire. 4:30 p.m.: A wildfire just south of Grants Pass is causing extreme delays on Interstate 5, the Oregon Department of Transportation says. As of 4:30 p.m., northbound Interstate 5 traffic headed toward Grants Pass was backed up 10 miles while crews battle a two-acre wildfire near milepost 53, and ODOT recommends commuters headed to Grants Pass avoid the freeway or be prepared for delays.
