Scott Alan Frazier, 33, has been charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, strangulation and interference with making an emergency call to 911 for the alleged May 20 attack at a mobile home park on Corral Lane between Ashland and Talent. Frazier entered not-guilty pleas to all the charges this week in Jackson County Circuit Court. He has a pre-trial conference hearing scheduled for June 13. Frazier remains lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $250,000 bail. The woman, 32, said Frazier invited her to his home but then withheld her purse and wallet so she could not leave the trailer. He also allegedly pointed a loaded paintball gun at her, according to a probable cause affidavit by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. The 6-foot-1-inch, 265-pound Frazier allegedly pushed the woman to the floor and kicked her numerous times, resulting in injuries that included at least one broken rib, a broken finger, a likely fracture or serious sprain to her wrist and bruises to her arms, head, elbows and neck. The woman was hospitalized for the injuries, the affidavit said. Frazier also allegedly held her against a wall and choked her so that she was unable to breathe, the affidavit said. He outweighed the woman by about 150 pounds, the affidavit said. Frazier allegedly said the woman broke into his home and assaulted him.
