Jeanne Carol Coffin Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Sep. 14, 2014 @ 2:00 am Posted Sep. 14, 2014 @ 2:00 am » Social News Jeanne Carol (Eberhart) Coffin passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by love, September 5, 2014. Jeanne fought a courageous battle with breast cancer. Jeanne was born Christmas day, 1937, in Ashland, Ore. to Jean and Reba Eberhart. The first of three children, she was later joined by her brother Jack Eberhart (Sue) and sister Judy Eberhart-Baker (Ron). Jeanne graduated from Ashland High school in 1955. She completed her education at Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Arts in education. Jeanne taught elementary school with the Phoenix School District for 23 years inspiring many children and making lifelong friendships along the way. She was an active member of the local P.E.O.-B.E. Sisterhood. Jeanne married Jack Coffin September 14, 1957 in Ashland, Ore. They were blessed with a loving union of over 54 years. Jack preceded Jeanne's death in 2012. Jeanne is survived by her daughters, Ellen Watkins, Martha Davis, and Kathryn Boden (Kent). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Summer Helm (Ben), Tyson Watkins, Chad Watkins (Amanda), Madeleine Boden, and Grant Boden. She was cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her great-granddaughters, Taelynn, Edahlia, and Haisley. Grandma Jeanne loved her grandbabies. Jeanne will be remembered for her extraordinary love of life and family. She would want the "music to play on" and for all of us to love each other well. Thanks, Dad. Yes, you did pick us a wonderful mother. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Perl Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford, Ore. A celebration of Jeanne's life will follow the service.
