Medford police responded to an alarm at 4 a.m. at the store, 2687 W. Main St., but just missed the man. "At initial glance, it doesn't appear like anything major was taken," said Medford police Lt. Mike Budreau. "There are no confirmed medications stolen at this time." Images from the break-in show the man used a pry bar to pull open the store's front doors, which are glass framed by metal. He then walked straight to the pharmacy and pried open a secured window there. Police said he also tried to pry open a glass cabinet, which contained numerous medications. Inventory was still being taken this morning, but so far nothing appears to be missing. "There is no confirmed medications stolen at this time, but we have little doubt he was after narcotics," Budreau said. The suspect was inside the store as long as 15 minutes. Investigators believe the alarm was delayed, giving the man extra time. They are uncertain why the delay occurred. "I don't know where (the suspect) finally went to trip the alarm," Budreau said. Surveillance photos show the man wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and covered his face with a white mask. He also wore black Nike shoes with a white logo on the side. The pry bar he used to break in is yellow. Anyone with information about the incident or the man's identity is asked to contact Medford police at 541-770-4784.
