Make insect monsters Oct 26, 2006 12:00 AM A A Join the "Make Insect Monsters" class just in time for Halloween at the Schneider Art Museum on Saturday, Oct. 28 from — to 2:30 p.m. Class members will see boxes of real insects and look at electron microscope images that depict insects in incredible detail. Then comes the fun & studying monster movies posters. Using dramatic framing, scale and perspective, class artists will transform their subjects into objects of fear more bizarre than any make-believe monster! Pen and ink drawings can be made into masks or framed for the wall. Instructor Steven Mayerson is a natural history buff with thousands of real insects in his collection. His posters and illustrations have been featured in galleries around town. Cost for the event is $5, or $3 for Art Museum members.
