Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend December 22, 2005 Man disguised as officer robs Medford driver A man disguised as a police officer robbed a woman at gunpoint Wednesday after pulling her over on Stewart Avenue. The woman told police she had just left a bar on Stewart Avenue when she was followed by a gray four-door sedan. The car had a flashing light similar to those used by police attached to its roof. After seeing the flashing light, the woman pulled over near the Chevron station at 785 Stewart Avenue, police said in a news release. A clean-shaven man who looked to be in his 30s wearing a dark uniform and badge approached the woman’s car. According to the woman, he then stuck a handgun in her face and asked for her wallet. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The woman drove to the Chevron station and told an attendant about the crime. Police responded and searched the area, but didn’t find the suspect’s car. The woman sustained a minor injury to her face during the encounter.
