Loggers found the body of Robert Lee Huggins, 56, last July in Washington state. He died from multiple blunt and sharp-force injuries. Sgt. Pete Simpson of the Portland Police Bureau identified those charged with murder and kidnapping as Mark Dencklau, 56, Earl Fisher, 46, Tiler Pribbernow, 34, and Malachi Watkins, 32. Charged with hindering prosecution are Ronald Thompson, 51, and Kendra Castle, 43. Police have yet to reveal the circumstances that detectives believe led to the slaying, citing the ongoing investigation. Homicide Detective Jim Lawrence told The Columbian newspaper that Huggins, also part of the Gypsy Jokers motorcycle gang, had been seen in northeast Portland a day before his body was found in Ridgefield, Washington — 25 miles north of Portland. "He died a horrible death," Lawrence said, without providing more details. Everyone except Watkins was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon in Portland. Watkins remains in an Aberdeen, Washington, prison on unrelated charges. Court records don't list an attorney for any of the accused. They will likely be assigned lawyers at Thursday's court appearance. Lawrence told The Columbian that outlaw motorcycle gangs are known for their involvement in the trafficking of weapons, drugs and stolen property, and they can resort to violence to maintain order and shield their activity from law enforcement. "I think his friends found out that he was doing things they didn't like him doing," Lawrence said. "His death was a result of his recent activity."
