Willie "Bill" Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Oct. 12, 2014 @ 2:00 am Posted Oct. 12, 2014 @ 2:00 am » Social News Author Edwards Willie "Bill" Author Edwards, 79, of Central Point, Ore. went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, October 6, 2014, surrounded by his beloved family and friends. Bill was born March 20, 1935 in Dover, Okla. to Hester and George Edwards, and raised in Seagraves, Texas, where he met the love of his life, childhood bully, Quanda Rutherford. They were married December 18, 1954. They had two daughters, Toni Young and Sylvia (Paul) Blenkush, all of Medford. Bill served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. After the Army, he moved his family out west where he worked for 34 years at White City Plywood. Bill's best accomplishment in life was his family, whom he loved more than anything. One of his favorite things was spoiling his granddaughters, Casey Kelley, of Central Point, Erika Young, Catrina (Jamus) Quintana, and Amanda (Kevin) Coelho, all of Medford. Bill left this world surrounded by all his "sweeties." He will be forever missed. Bill is survived by his wife; daughters; brother, Robert; sister, Geneva; granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren, Aadyn, Andrew, Asher, Autumn, Grady, and Dylan, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Paul and sister, Juanita. Pappy, we don't know how we are going to go on without you, but you raised us to be tough girls. We love you so very much. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 19, 2014 at Butte Creek Baptist, Eagle Point, Ore. Pastor Steve Hamilton will officiate.
