Tactical operations center to receive dedication Oct 09, 2014 12:00 AM A A The Southern Oregon Regional Child Abduction Response Team's tactical operations center will be dedicated by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at the sheriff's station at 5179 Highway 62, White City. SOCART is one of 20 nationally recognized child-abduction search teams in the U.S., and the only one in Oregon. If a child goes missing in Southern Oregon, the center will be manned as a command post and call center for tips and information. The dedication is open to the public.
