Richard Kelvin Johnson was pronounced dead in the 1900 block of Mill Creek Drive, according to sheriff’s Lt. Christine Bronson. Johnson was the only person in the pickup. “Fire crews arrived on the scene and advised the male was deceased,” Bronson said. Deputies had received an initial call at 5:20 p.m, July 1, that a disorderly male was attempting to fight with other customers at Shy’s Café and Lounge on Highway 62 in Shady Cove, Bronson said. As units responded to the disorderly conduct call, additional calls came in about a reckless driver trying to force other vehicles off Highway 62. Johnson also allegedly tried to run somebody over in the parking lot of Shy’s Café, Bronson said.
