Woman accused of kicking service dog By Mail Tribune staff Jul 03, 2019 03:53 PM A A A woman faces animal abuse charges after she allegedly kicked another person’s dog at a Medford park. Robin Suzanne Elmore, 51, faces charges of animal abuse and disorderly conduct after she allegedly ran up and kicked a pit bull in the head about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Alba Park, according to documents filed in Jackson County Circuit Court by Medford police and the Jackson County District Attorney’s office. The owner, who was not named in court documents, told police that the animal is a service dog, and that the attacker struck the animal in the ear and caused severe swelling. Prior to the attack, multiple witnesses in the park told police, Elmore allegedly had been screaming and yelling and provoking people to fight her. After Elmore allegedly kicked the dog, the owner told police, he pulled out a stun gun and threatened Elmore. Elmore was slated to make her initial court appearance Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on the misdemeanor charges. Elmore remained held Wednesday in the Jackson County Jail on $10,000 bail on charges of second-degree animal abuse, second-degree disorderly conduct, and for failing to appear in court on previous charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment, first-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.
