The workshop will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Carnegie Library, 413 W. Main St., Medford. It is hosted by Restore Oregon and the Holly Theatre. Workshop presenters will include representatives from Restore Oregon, Oregon Cultural Trust, Oregon Main Street, Travel Oregon and the University of Oregon, as well as Holly Theatre historic consultant George Kramer and Executive Director Randy McKay. They will talk about navigating theater restoration, determining economic viability, building community support and finding funding and will share lessons learned from theaters that have been successfully revived. Cost is $20 per person and includes a box lunch. Registration is online at RestoreOregon.org and closes Friday, July 8. This workshop is one of three taking place around the state, underwritten by a grant from the Oregon Cultural Trust.
