Officers arrested Michael Edward Tracy III, 23, in Medford Tuesday. They served a search warrant at his home on Sheraton Court and collected "a substantial amount of evidence," Ashland police Detective Sgt. Tighe O'Meara said. Tracy is lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, first-degree aggravated theft and second-degree kidnapping. Bail is set at more than $2 million. Two alleged accomplices — Dylan Branting Ashmun, 26, and Ryan Williams, 20 — were charged earlier this week. Ashmun has been in jail on murder, manslaughter and weapons charges stemming from the fatal shooting of his 24-year-old roommate, Joseph Faaeteete, on March 28 in Eagle Point. Williams was arrested Monday at his home on Berrydale Avenue, where police said they also recovered property stolen during the Ashland robbery. In the Jan. 13 robbery, the suspects entered a home in the 100 block of Alnutt Street, Ashland, told the lone male occupant they were armed and forced him into another area of the home during the robbery, police said. Police said the robbers had targeted the victim specifically and not at random. They knew what they were looking for in his house and left with an undisclosed amount of his money and property. O'Meara said that three men entered the home during the robbery, but investigators think a woman might also be "directly involved." "We are still actively working leads," he said. The ongoing investigation led detectives to Tracy, who was found Tuesday driving in a car with a woman. Medford police helped arrest Tracy, who told officers that he was planning to turn himself in, O'Meara said. In addition to the search at Tracy's home, investigators got a search warrant Tuesday for a previously seized lockbox and found "a large amount of money," the release said.
