TV Guide turns page on colors Just who is responsible, and why, for the changes in colors on the TV Guide Channel 7? The old colors were good, but these new ones are very offensive. They hurt my eyes so much I cannot watch that channel any more. I used it quite often before the change. When I called the company I was "put off" with the promise of a call back. None to date. -- Mary T., Ashland The company responsible for making that change, Mary, is TV Guide, which supplies these listing channels to cable companies all over the country, including Charter Cable and others in Southern Oregon. Charter referred us to Suzanne Meeks, director of promotions for the TV Guide Channel. And she said, "Yes, we did change the whole look and feel of TV Guide Channel and we did so after many, many months of focus groups." She said she is sorry to hear that you don't like the new look, but that her company went to a lot of trouble to do research on what viewers wanted and made the change to reflect those wishes. "It was tested over and over again," she says. Her company believes the new look is "easier to read and easier to follow." (Send your questions to "Since You Asked," Mail Tribune Newsroom, P.O.
