See the Illinois Valley in scenic hike Jan 05, 2015 12:00 AM A A Northwest Nature Shop naturalist Jeanine Moy will lead a hike through the Rough and Ready Botanical Area in the Illinois Valley 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17. Moy will talk about the designation of the botanical area, issues that put rare plant species at risk and stewardship education. Attendees will meet at the Northwest Nature Stop in Ashland at 9 a.m. to carpool. They should dress in layers and sturdy shoes, and bring water and lunch. It costs $20 per person to attend.
