Crater, EP land players on MWL first teams Monday Feb 27, 2017 at 7:32 PM Feb 27, 2017 at 7:32 PM Crater registered one player on each of the All-Midwestern League basketball teams in senior Mallory Heard and junior Kiefer Edwards, and Eagle Point senior Mario Quintero also gained first-team recognition on the boys team in voting released by the MWL coaches Monday. Heard helped lead the Crater girls to a runner-up finish to Marist with a 10-4 league mark, while Edwards was instrumental in helping the Comet boys tie for sixth place with Ashland at 5-9. Quintero helped guide Eagle Point to a fourth-place tie in the boys standings with Marist at 6-8.
